A.A tortoise is a land-dwelling reptile. Turtles and terrapins are the aquatic species. All living tortoises are members of the order Testudines.

A.Tortoises cost between £100-£200. They cost around £500 a year to keep and feed. Life expectancy varies but most can live longer than 80 years.
