Q.How does las vegas get its water supply?
A.The Colorado river runs through the Hoover Dam which in turn supplies water & energy to Las Vegas. The Hoover Dam is 22.1 meters (724 feet) tall.
Q.Why is the concrete in the middle of the hoover dam not set yet
A.Concrete sets as a result of a chemical reaction with water, called hydration. The concrete in the centre is damp but it is still rock hard.
Q.Is the Hoover Dam in Nevada or Arizona?
A.The Hoover Dam is inbetween, and in both states of Arizona and Nevada, in the Black Canyon of the Colorado river. The Dam is 221.3 metres tall.
