A.In 1885, a 22 year old woman called Sarah Ann Henley survived a jump from Clifton Suspension bridge when her billowing skirts acted as a parachute.
Q.Who invented the mini skirt
A.Mary Quant is credited with introducing the mini skirt, in 1966. The term micro mini was coined in 1967 by the press and has since been widely used.
Q.Why do mens bicycle's have horizontal cross bars and ladies have cross bars at an angle?
A.Girls' bikes were originally designed without a crossbar to accommodate skirts and dresses. Modern dress means this is now largely unnecessary.

A.The purpose of skirting boards is to cover the join between the wall surface and the floor, protecting the wall from kicks and abrasion.
