Q.i saw a program once and this car had around 600 horsepower and it drove forward yet it only took a few horses to pull it the other way in a tug of war?
A.1 horse power is supposedly equal to one horse's rate of work (or 746W). Brake horsepower is basically the same thing, just measured against a brake.
Q.One of the back wheels on my saab 93 will not go round, when I drove it and stopped the brake disc was glowing red. What is the cause of this?
A.It could be that due to the cold weather your handbrake is stuck on one side. Another cause could be faulty wheel bearings or a faulty brake mechanism.
Q.If a car travelling at 80mph was to drive up to a vehicle carrier at 60mph with its ramp down what would happen? Would the car then travel at 140? If so what happens to the car, assuming it doesn't brake once it overshoots the vehicle carrier??
A.If a car at 80mph drove on to the back of a vehicle carrier (at 60mph), the car would indeed leave the carrier at 140mph. It would probably crash.
