Q.What insect is this i have caught. About the size of a wasp but thiner and with a pure black body. It has wings, six legs which are pure red, and a massive stinger on its rear
A.It is a giant ichneumon wasp. Although a ferocious-looking insect, it's harmless to humans. The 'stinger' is actually its ovipositor, used to lay eggs.
