MTV Networks UK & Ireland is partnering with 63336 Limited, the providers of the AQA 63336 service to launch the world's first text–to–screen question and answer service. The service, called "Mr. Know–It–All" will initially launch on MTV Hits. Viewers will text "Mr. Know–It–All" with any question from their phones, with answers being sent back to their phones from AQA, and the best questions and answers appearing live on TV.
Matthew Kershaw, Head of Interactive, MTV Networks UK & Ireland, explains, "We're extending our range of innovative interactive services with Mr. Know–it–all, providing our viewers with additional reasons to tune into MTV Hits. The quality of the answers will not only impress viewers on their phones but will also provide compelling content onscreen."
Paul Cockerton, Marketing Director of IssueBits comments "AQA has grown rapidly since launch to now answering well over a million questions a year. We're delighted to partner with MTV to bring AQA's answers to their screens and viewers phones, and further accelerate AQA's growth and exposure in the UK."
MTV Hits will initially schedule "Mr Know–It–All" for two hours per weekday, with viewers being encouraged to text in 'MTV' followed by their question to AQA's premium text number 63336. Each question will cost the viewer £1. The answers will be provided though a combination of AQA's database and human researchers and texted back to the customers, with moderated content being displayed live on screen.
