22 April 2006

Any Question Answered (AQA 63336), the UK text service where you can text any question to 63336 and get an answer in minutes, today announced that it has reached its 2nd birthday having answered two million questions.

Launched on 22 April 2004, the first question that AQA received was "What's the population of London?" The two millionth question was "wot % of tax dose a single male working self employed in the uk hav 2 pay earning 20k per year?"

"AQA reached its first million questions in nineteen months, but took only five months to reach its second million. Recently AQA has also broken through 10,000 questions per day." Said Colly Myers, CEO. "This acceleration in growth has been driven by our continued focus on quality, on providing a great customer service and on marketing with key brands to help promote the all important 63336 number."

As AQA's database of stored questions and answers continues to rise, so the speed at which it can deliver quality answers increases. With 500 researchers working to answer questions 24 hours a day, researchers pick 3 out of every 10 answers from the database, resulting in 85% of all answers being returned in under 5 minutes.

The answer to the two millionth question was "AQA: The tax when earning £20k is £5,035 at 0%, £2,150 at 10% and £12,815 at 22%. NI is 11% of anything earned over £5,035. For £20k you would pay out £4,680."
